Tuition Assistance

What is Tuition Assistance?

Tuition assistance is financial support offered to families to help make preschool more affordable. Think of them as a way to reduce the amount you pay out-of-pocket for your child’s education.

What is CCDF?

The Child Care and Development Fund is a federal program that helps low-income families obtain child care.

What is On My Way Pre-K?

On My Way Pre-K awards vouchers to 4 year olds from low-income families so that they may have access to a high-quality pre-K program the year before they begin kindergarten.

How Do They Work?

  1. Eligibility: Programs have specific requirements, like income limits or residency rules. You will need to fill out an application or provide some financial information.

  2. Amount: The assistance can vary based on your needs and the program’s budget. It might cover a portion or even the full tuition cost.

  3. Application: To apply, you will go to https://www.in.gov/fssa/carefinder/child-care-assistance/

  4. Distribution: If approved, the assistant funds will be directly applied to your child’s tuition, reducing the amount you owe to the preschool.

Why Use Tuition Assistance?

They make quality preschool education more accessible and affordable, allowing you to focus on your child’s learning and development without financial stress.
